Position Title
Mid-Level Blast Test Engineer
- Location: Atlantic City, NJ
- Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
- Salary: $114,000 - $129,000 Based on Experience and Education
- Travel Requirements: 20%

Role Summary
The Mid-Level Blast Test Engineer will play a crucial role in our Aberdeen Research Operation, contributing to vital defense initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering design and analysis of complex security systems to evaluate their potential for development and integration with other systems.
- Operate independently, reviewing and providing feedback on test plans and procedures; execute tests, gather data, and compile assessment reports.
- Develop work breakdown structures and identify critical path elements for project completion while tracking project activities.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills by producing project documentation, including plans, test procedures, data analysis reports, and final project reports.
- Utilize expertise in system automation, data collection, analysis, and presentation.
- Exhibit proficiency in personal computer applications and commercial software tools.
Qualifications for Mid-Level Blast Test Engineer
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates should demonstrate professional knowledge in System, Electrical/Electronic engineering disciplines, particularly in security systems and explosive detection technologies.
- Experience in explosive testing, including vulnerability assessments for commercial aircraft and blast effects measurement.
- Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition methods for explosive testing.
- Expertise in performance measurement techniques and the interpretation of test results using various instrumentation.
- Knowledge of modeling and simulation related to blast responses of aircraft structures.
- Understanding of live testing and variables related to explosive equations of state.
