About the Role

Covington & Burling LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading local IT operations and providing a high-quality technology experience for our lawyers, staff, practice groups, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Operations Management: Lead local IT operations, ensuring seamless delivery of technology services to our regional offices.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for local staff, troubleshooting and resolving technology issues in a timely manner.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Manage the lifecycle of regional technology, including end-user devices, office equipment, and facilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with IT teams, regional management, and end-users to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance IT services and support.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Support the measurement and reporting of IT services to evaluate effectiveness and demonstrate value to the firm.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, with 5+ years of relevant experience in a large law firm setting or comparable organization.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with common operating systems, software, and hardware, including Windows 10 and later, Microsoft Office 365/2021, and Audio Visual conferencing technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
