About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Operate MRI equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Complete timely quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as warranted
  • Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced certification in MRI required within two years of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical MRI experience
  • Advanced certification in MRI
Working Conditions

The MRI Technologist will work in a patient care area, exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent may be at risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
