Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage the Meat and Seafood Team: Supervise and motivate a team of meat and seafood specialists to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Management: Assist in managing and merchandising the Meat and Seafood department to maximize productivity and profit.
  • Ordering and Inventory Control: Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat and Seafood team.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Development: Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Meat and Seafood team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Meat and Seafood team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years professional experience, proven leadership experience, and 2-3 years of grocery retail experience in Meat department processes and procedures is highly preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, and a total of 8 hours per shift is a must; will walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours.
