Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at American Health Communities. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing personalized health care to residents, including prescribed treatments, supervising other caregivers, and performing administrative duties. This is a full-time day shift position with opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to residents, including prescribed treatments, such as changing dressings, drawing blood, changing catheters, inserting or removing NG tubes, doing laboratory work, etc.
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing aides and support staff
  • Perform administrative duties like documenting assessments, managing inventory and requesting supplies and equipment
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
  • Perform emergency procedures such as CPR
Requirements:
  • Currently licensed in the state of Tennessee as a licensed practical nurse (LPN)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, shift changes, and weekends
  • Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
  • Supervise support staff including training, scheduling, and assigning work; reviewing performance and assisting in problem-solving for staff issues
