Key Responsibilities:
The individual in this role will oversee the efficient operation of the Checkout department.

This position is crucial in fostering a collaborative environment where team members are trained and developed, ensuring that customers receive outstanding service consistently.


PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Exemplify exceptional customer service.
  • Address customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Assist in upholding company sanitation standards.
  • Monitor and manage inventory shrinkage.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures in the service area.
  • Uphold and model company dress code standards.
  • Perform all duties of Cashier and Customer Service Associate, as well as assist with Business Center transactions as required.
  • Oversee customer flow to enhance transaction efficiency.
  • Review and authorize financial transactions at the register and Business Center (e.g., overrides, refunds, EBT, etc.).
  • Maintain open communication with store personnel and management regarding daily operations and concerns.
  • Address team member concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Promote and encourage sales initiatives at the front end.
  • Recognize team members and celebrate achievements.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in addressing team and customer issues.
  • Supervise product ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and inventory management.


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
  • Completion of Regional Service training and approval by the Regional Merchant is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of checkout processes.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • High performance standards.
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Strong conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Ability to make sound decisions.
  • Skills in delegation, organization, and planning.
  • Capacity to manage stressful situations effectively.
  • Excellent customer service aptitude.
  • Familiarity with H-E-B systems is preferred.
