About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for commissioning, programming, and servicing our advanced building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and program DDC controls systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of building automation systems.
  • Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close-out requirements.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Coordinate with team leaders and customers to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
  • Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seatbelt.
  • Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness, and safety boots to safely perform job duties.
  • Must be able to twist the trunk of your body 90 degrees in each direction.
  • Must be able to squat and touch the floor with both hands.
  • Must be able to reach your hands over your head.
  • Must be able to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours.
Compensation

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
