Job Overview

This is a full-time exempt role at TÜV SÜD America. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will oversee Server, Storage, and Networking operations for the Americas Region. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure system accessibility and resolve issues efficiently across all locations. You will also establish, implement, and communicate relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Occasional off-shift and/or off-site responsibilities may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support network and remote users across the Americas Region, ensuring high levels of service in a dynamic environment.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, internal stakeholders, executive staff, and IT.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the international IT team.
  • Design, configure, maintain, and regularly test the regional Disaster Recovery plan.
  • Collaborate with Global IT teams to develop regional security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with global network and server teams to ensure alignment with TÜV SÜD's worldwide IT strategy.
  • Manage and maintain a MPLS WAN / SD-WAN infrastructure utilizing Cisco routers and switches.
  • Oversee a virtual network environment using VMware and SAN storage systems, ensuring replication to a disaster recovery site.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, recommending IT solutions based on best practices to meet the needs of customers and stakeholders globally.
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of all production hardware, including planning for equipment refresh and recycling of outdated assets.
  • Act as an escalation point for various teams, providing guidance to resolve challenges and ensure successful service delivery.
  • Support and enhance a global mobile infrastructure through Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • Provide comprehensive support for all infrastructure hardware, from setup to troubleshooting.
  • Manage technical projects involving new technology implementations, hardware/software upgrades, and other IT initiatives.
  • Oversee relationships with multiple technical vendors, ensuring accountability for project tasks and budget adherence.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Lead a team responsible for deploying computer patches across the network using SCCM.
  • Conduct research and develop proof of concepts for new technologies, contributing to a standardized toolset.
  • Enforce quality control standards and ensure achievement of product development lifecycle milestones.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO27001 certification requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, ITIL) are advantageous.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Cisco switches and routers.
  • 3 to 5 years of end-user support experience in a Microsoft OS and multi-platform environment.
  • Experience with Active Directory and/or relevant certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365 suite support and Windows Server administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of Azure Administration and/or certification is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Azure networking capabilities.
  • Experience with SCCM rollouts and management.
  • Experience with Cisco VoIP systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Bomgar Remote Support Tool is an advantage.
  • Experience with Incident Management tools is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with good judgment and an intuitive sense for leveraging technology to support business objectives.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to create clear documentation of systems and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
