Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Production Manager to lead our audio-visual team and ensure seamless execution of events at Boise Centre. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate AV operations, work closely with clients and internal teams, and oversee the setup and operation of all audio-visual equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the setup and operation of all audio-visual equipment, ensuring seamless execution for every event.
  • Act as the primary AV expert, collaborating with Event Managers, internal departments, and clients to deliver customized AV solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of AV professionals, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and fostering growth.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage AV infrastructure projects, including technology upgrades (lighting, audio, digital signage), while staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Prepare AV quotes based on event specifications, ensuring that client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring all AV equipment is properly maintained and readily available for events.
  • Assist with the budgeting process, tracking AV department expenses, and managing project costs effectively.
  • Act as a liaison for external vendors and service contractors, coordinating their work to meet the technical needs of the facility.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are consistently followed by the AV team during operations.
  • Participate in pre- and post-event meetings to address AV-related questions and feedback, improving future event performance.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of AV management experience in a hospitality-related environment.
  • 5+ years of AV expertise in large venues (hotels, convention centers, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills with 3+ years managing teams of 15+ people.
  • Advanced knowledge of stage sound, lighting, video, streaming, and production practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Physical ability to handle AV tasks such as rigging, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights up to 25 feet.
