Position Overview

The Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II role is dedicated to delivering exceptional physical therapy services primarily to a Native American clientele, focusing on the treatment and prevention of physical disabilities or ailments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute the Physical Therapy program, ensuring high-quality evaluation and treatment for both inpatients and outpatients, catering to a diverse age range from infants to the elderly.
  • Provide specialized services, including but not limited to wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinics, geriatric clinics, high school clinics, functional clinics, spinal cord clinics, and assistive technology evaluations.
  • Lead the development and direction of the physical therapy section, which encompasses continuous quality improvement, risk management, safety protocols, and adherence to physical therapy policies and procedures.
  • Prepare for Joint Commission evaluations, conduct staff education, and facilitate staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as outlined in the Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges form.
Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited institution is required.
  • Must hold a valid, current, full, and unrestricted license in any state within the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico during employment.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Applicants must meet the criteria for credentialing to serve on the Medical Staff, with all necessary information for credentialing provided.
Unit Specific Responsibilities
  • Management and execution of the Physical Therapy program.
  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations and treatments for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Offer specialized services such as wound care and prosthetic and orthotic clinics.
Additional Information
  • Orientation: Conducted every two weeks.
  • COVID Exemption: Religious exemptions are not accepted. Medical exemptions require approval from the medical review board prior to onboarding.
  • Housing Application: Must be submitted two weeks prior to the start date.
