Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our Progeny Business Area, you will be responsible for designing and developing components for the next generation of submarine Electronic Warfare systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and test RF, analog, and digital electronic circuits
  • Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware
  • Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems, including test software applications
  • Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions
  • Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in RF system design, development, and testing
  • Proficiency in PCB design, including creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, and schematic entry
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with experience leading design teams for complex projects
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate technical staff
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with MATLAB programming
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including signal integrity principles
  • Advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
  • Experience with technical project management
