Job Summary

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment to our patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Provide a full range of therapeutic interventions, including diagnostic assessment, mental status examination, psychotherapy, and medication evaluation and management
  • Work in various clinical settings, including outpatient, telehealth, residential, and consultation-liaison
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care and make treatment decisions
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning conferences and team meetings
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of a psychiatry residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Board certification in psychiatry
