Position Overview

JOB SUMMARY: The Secondary Mathematics Educator will guide students in acquiring mathematical competencies that are essential for their academic and personal growth while adhering to the curriculum established by the educational authority.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Educate students in civic responsibility and fundamental subjects as mandated by state regulations and the policies of the educational institution Deliver curriculum approved by the district Convert lesson plans into suitable learning experiences for various developmental stages Maintain consistent communication with parents outside of regular school hours through newsletters, notes, phone calls, and meetings Assess student academic performance and social development Maintain accurate records and generate progress reports Recognize student needs, make suitable referrals, and create strategies for personalized education plans

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

Must be highly qualified to instruct high school students across all grade levels Knowledgeable in effective instructional methodologies Proficient in differentiated instruction techniques Strong enthusiasm for teaching and learning Excellent ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents Capable of delivering impactful lessons centered on student development and educational standards Skilled in analyzing student performance data to inform lesson planning and execution Must pass a background check with no criminal record

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

Valid teaching certificate for the state of Michigan Endorsement in Mathematics (EX)
