POSITION SUMMARY:
The Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiac Critical Care is responsible for managing critically ill cardiovascular patients who require intensive care services. This role involves collaboration with Cardiovascular Intensivists and attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients immediately following cardiac procedures.
- Support continuity of care management until patient discharge.
- Work closely with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans for high-quality patient management.
- Identify and address discharge planning needs to facilitate effective patient transitions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with acute care training.
- 3-5 years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License and NCCPA Certification (for PAs).
- Current Maryland CDS and DEA Licenses.
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications.
- AANC or AANP Certification (for NPs).
