We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Counter Salesperson to join our team at Bruckner Truck Sales, Inc. As a key member of our parts department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our parts sales process.
Key Responsibilities- Answer customer inquiries and fill orders from stock parts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist customers on the parts counter and shop floor, providing expert knowledge and guidance on parts selection and availability.
- Read and interpret catalog information, microfiche viewers, and computer systems to determine replacement part numbers, availability, and prices.
- Advise customers on substitutions or modifications of parts when replacements are not available.
- Examine returned parts or cores to determine if defective and exchange parts for refunds.
- Stock parts according to part number sequence and maintain a clean and organized parts area.
- Operate a forklift and other equipment as needed to support parts sales and inventory management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of experience in a heavy duty truck or automotive parts department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact successfully with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
