Job Summary:
As a Dietitian at Calvert Health System, you will play a vital role in assessing, counseling, and educating patients on their diet. Your expertise will help promote good dietary health and treat medical conditions by devising personalized eating plans based on the science of nutrition.
Responsibilities:
• Assess patients' diets and develop effective nutrition plans to promote good health and treat medical conditions.
• Provide education and counseling to patients on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and nutrition plans.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nutritional Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Successful completion of an accredited dietetics program through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• Maryland State licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
• Credentialed Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) or Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
