Overview

Gray Construction, a global service provider deeply rooted in engineering, design, and construction, is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President to lead its Field Operations team. This strategic role will be based in Lexington, Kentucky.

About the Role

The Senior Vice President of Operations will be responsible for creating a vision for Field Operations that aligns with the company's overall strategy. This includes developing detailed plans, tracking progress, and providing updates to leadership.

Analyzing industry trends, strategies, and performance is crucial to identifying areas for improvement and further developing Gray's field operations. The successful candidate will also prepare regular reports on Field Operations for presentation to Gray's leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for Field Operations to achieve business objectives
  • Analyze industry trends and performance data to identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare regular reports on Field Operations for presentation to leadership
  • Grow and develop the leadership teams of Field Operations through guidance, support, and performance feedback
  • Develop and enforce processes and procedures within Field Operations to align with business goals
  • Work with teams to develop training and development programs for field team members
  • Manage budgets for Field Operations, ensuring effective resource use and implementing cost-control measures when necessary
  • Evaluate compliance with financial policies and procedures within Field Operations
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in field construction management or a related field
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, and scheduling applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership experience in construction field management is highly preferred
