Job Summary:
We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician with experience in blood banking and transfusion medicine to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform blood typing and cross-matching procedures to ensure accurate identification of blood components
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve issues related to blood transfusions
- Develop and implement procedures to improve laboratory efficiency and productivity
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- ASCP certification in Medical Laboratory Technology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in blood banking and transfusion medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
