Reports To: General Manager or Franchise Owner
Primary Responsibilities:
The Security Access Specialist role is crucial to the success of The Flying Locksmiths Frisco and plays a significant part in the company's expansion. All specialists must thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively both as part of a team and independently. This position is hands-on and suited for individuals with a technical aptitude. Ideal candidates will possess locksmithing skills and show a willingness to learn new technical methods and practices.
Key Qualifications and Duties:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical fields related to security solutions, access control, door hardware, and similar trades.
- Conducts inspections, installations, and maintenance of both basic and advanced commercial access and video systems.
- Performs intricate troubleshooting and repair tasks for commercial access and video systems, including programming, cleaning detectors, testing controls, and peripheral devices; mounting, replacing, and testing equipment as per specifications; running cables, etc.
- Educates clients on the operation of access and video systems by suggesting ways to utilize additional features and capabilities of the installed systems.
- Addresses customer inquiries and requests promptly.
- Proposes corrective actions to resolve customer complaints.
- Effectively manages complex customer issues.
- Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with the sales team.
- Defines the scope of additional services and change orders, seeks customer approval, and prepares necessary documentation.
- Conducts site assessments with sales consultants for current or prospective clients.
- Takes ownership of projects from initial walkthrough to final approval and transition to service.
- Keeps accurate records of all inspections, service calls, and troubleshooting activities, including documentation and updates.
- Acts as the onsite project leader to ensure project timelines and objectives are met, overseeing lead technicians, technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

- Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write in English.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
