Job Overview:
The IT Desktop Support Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless technical experience for caregivers. This position demands expertise in both physical and virtual desktop environments, focusing on implementation, management, and troubleshooting. The analyst will provide exceptional support to caregivers through various channels, including a work order ticket system, phone, or in-person interactions. Effective communication of issues and solutions to leadership is essential, along with timely assistance to all IT teams in resolving caregiver-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a high level of knowledge and skill regarding Monument Health's IT environment while providing excellent customer service to both internal IT teams and end users.
  • Collaborates closely with Systems Engineers and Network Engineers to maintain and deploy a standardized desktop environment that ensures stability and high performance.
  • Implements and sustains a desktop environment that adheres to Monument Health's IT security protocols.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, PC Operating Systems, and corporate software to effectively troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Monument Health's Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Engages with external experts to develop strategic plans and roadmaps that keep Monument Health's desktop infrastructure at the forefront of healthcare technology.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities to mentor, support, and train Desktop Technicians and Help Desk staff.
  • Evaluates and prepares specifications for the procurement of desktop products, including PC hardware and software.
  • Provides critical support to the organization, division, and peers, including day-to-day peer support and after-hours on-call assistance.
  • Documents processes and activities to maintain reliable IT systems, contributing to Call Tracking, Project Management, Change Management, and Disaster Recovery Services Guides.
  • Handles virus/malware remediation and performs reloads/upgrades of devices.
  • Conducts advanced troubleshooting and support for Virtual Desktops.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:

Required:
Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies

Preferred:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Related Field

Certification - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certification (MCSE); VMware Certified Professional (VCP); HDI Desktop Support Technician (HDI-DST)

Experience - 3+ years of Computer/Information Technology Experience

Physical Requirements:
Heavy work - exerting up to 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 100 pounds seldomly to move objects. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths, which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
