Key Responsibilities- Assess and document physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients at clinic.
- Establish treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnosis.
- Document nursing intervention and patient response.
- Prepare for and assist with office procedures.
- Accurately prepare and administer medications as directed by provider.
- Document and report adverse effects of medications.
- Perform procedures such as injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, tympanogram, EKGs, vision screening, etc.
- Makes referrals to other providers and facilities as directed by the provider.
- Prioritize and return phone calls effectively and in a timely manner.
- Reports test results to patients with instructions from a provider in a timely manner.
- A graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and prioritize your work.
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to effectively calm patients and be able to deal with distressed and/or agitated patients and their families.
