Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for delivering daily care, addressing health needs, ensuring safety, and providing comfort to residents.
This includes conducting professional assessments and maintaining accurate documentation of residents' health, as well as assisting in the management of nursing units and staff.
Key responsibilities include:- Participating in the creation and execution of individualized care plans for residents
- Keeping nursing care plans current, documenting progress, and suggesting updates as needed
- Conducting regular visits to monitor residents' physical and mental well-being
- Performing routine nursing tasks while collaborating with physicians and families to support residents' health
- Offering emotional support to residents and their families, and effectively addressing any complaints or incidents
- Maintaining thorough medical records, completing necessary reports, and ensuring accurate documentation of medications
Qualifications:
To qualify as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), candidates must:
Be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid LPN license in good standing as per State and Federal regulations.
Possess a solid understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
Exhibit basic computer skills and knowledge.
Demonstrate a genuine passion for patient care.
Show personal integrity and the ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and other personnel.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Corporate Compliance and HIPAA regulations.
Have proficiency in using personal computers, including Word and Excel, and familiarity with office equipment such as fax and copy machines.
