Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inspector I to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As an Inspector I, you will be responsible for performing quality inspections, testing, and maintenance of life safety product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of life safety product lines
  • Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment
  • Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices
  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation program via laptop computer
  • Make minor repairs and programming changes under direct authorized supervision
  • Complete assigned inspections on time
Requirements
  • 3-5 years documented experience in sprinkler systems preferred
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements
  • Willing to travel out of town, including overnight lodging
  • NICET Level 2 certification in water-based systems

We offer a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $18-27, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
