Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Dartmouth Health. As a member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain aseptic technique and provide a quiet environment in the OR suite, respecting the dignity and privacy of patients.
  • Assist in circulating duties in the surgical suite and utilize specialized equipment and supplies for specific surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon to expedite the surgical process and utilize surgical instruments and knowledge of step-by-step sequences for surgical procedures.
  • Assume shared responsibility for proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment and participate in room turnover and central sterile processing.
  • Assist in training and orientation of new staff members and follow CMS conditions of participation.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or program accepted by the Association of Surgical Technologists.
  • National certification as a surgical technician.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Currently registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians.
