Position Summary

This is an entry-level role reporting to the Government Affairs Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the initial and ongoing registration processes for EPA-regulated disinfectants and sanitizers, as well as pesticide incident and production reporting to the EPA. Additionally, this role involves overseeing the development and upkeep of label content and related regulatory documentation for both the United States and Canada. The position also ensures compliance with various third-party certifying organizations.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Exhibiting strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Working autonomously and collaboratively within diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrating excellent organizational skills and procedural diligence.
  • Acquiring knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to regulatory compliance.
  • Reviewing product labels and marketing materials for accuracy and compliance, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Understanding label compliance requirements set forth by US health and safety authorities.
  • Navigating various online regulatory platforms effectively.
  • Possessing the capability to create and modify Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Having familiarity with shipping classifications, such as DOT and IMDG, is advantageous.
  • Engaging with industry and governmental regulatory representatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational/Environmental Health, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
  • Between one to three years of experience in the chemical sector or a related field, such as government, food, or pharmaceuticals.

Preferred Skills

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of FIFRA and PRIA as outlined in the EPA Registration Manual.
  • Familiarity with GHS and OSHA HazCom 2012 & HCS 2024.
  • Understanding of Multi-Mode Transportation Classification.
  • Experience with WERCStudio authoring systems and reporting platforms like CDX, KRS, and ALSTAR.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000 annually.
