About Creative Financial Staffing and the Cost Accountant Position:

This reputable local retailer is in search of a proficient cost accountant. With a strong emphasis on customer service, this organization boasts impressive corporate longevity. The role offers excellent opportunities for advancement along with comprehensive benefits. The salary range is $90,000-$95,000, depending on experience. This is an on-site position, requiring daily office attendance.



Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:

  • Oversee the standard cost of materials and conduct extensive margin analysis.
  • Examine standard and actual cost discrepancies, providing detailed reports to management.
  • Evaluate and analyze profit margins across various categories and products.
  • Execute variance analysis, including purchase price variance to cost variance, cost revaluation, and invoice to purchase order variances.
  • Manage inventory effectively.



Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and statistical abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and experience with ERP/Financial Systems.
