Role Summary:
- Deliver personal assistance to clients in their residences under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Enhance the overall well-being of clients, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with personal care tasks as directed by healthcare staff, including bathing, wound care, dressing, mobility support, and toileting.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and their families to support social engagement.
- Conduct light housekeeping as directed by the client to ensure a comfortable living space.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client care and communicate updates to the supervising healthcare professional.
- Oversee the setup of personal emergency response systems (PERS) as required.
- The responsibilities outlined above represent the general nature and level of work expected and are not exhaustive.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid CNA registration in the State of Minnesota.
- CPR certification is required within the first six months of employment.
- A valid driver's license and access to an insured personal vehicle are necessary.
- Completion of a state-mandated background check is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
- Physical capability to perform the job duties is required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is necessary for effective communication with clients and staff.
