Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, ensuring the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel.
  • Respond to unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level, up to and including armed response, following established protocol.
  • Control access to client sites and facilities through the admittance process, precluding unauthorized access and protecting physical assets.
  • Assist visitors with legitimate needs to gain entry to facilities, screen visitors and client employees efficiently, and expedite their admittance.
  • Provide a courteous, respectful, and pleasant interaction with client employees and visitors, presenting a good image of Paragon Security Systems and its security department.
  • Communicate openly, honestly, and responsively in all situations, providing information as authorized regarding the site and surrounding area.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, prevent unapproved or unlawful entry, control entrances and movement of people and vehicles, and operate gates and remote access devices.
  • Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, and mechanical problems.
  • Protect evidence or scenes of incidents, set up barriers and signage, and provide direction or information to others.
  • Prepare logs or reports as required, write or type reports, and enter information into a computer using standard grammar.
  • Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following established procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, be flexible and adaptable, and have a strong attention to detail.

In addition, you will need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Finally, you will need to be able to pass a thorough background check and obtain any necessary certifications or training.
