Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and innovative Apparel Product Innovator to enhance our Pro Standard (MLB, NFL, NBA, & NCAA Licensed business), elevating our embellished art-intensive apparel and headwear brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with our Design and Merchandising Teams, sharing responsibilities to ensure success in product development.
  • Engage in Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work consistently with domestic and international teams to drive seasonal assortments.
  • Manage Time and Action: Efficiently oversee the calendar, workflow, and processes within the vertical.
  • Review Tech Packs: Ensure the accuracy and quality of Illustrator-based Tech Packs through thorough review and approval.
  • Evaluate Samples: Assist in assessing and providing feedback on samples from initial concept design to bulk production.
  • Understand Design Aesthetic: Maintain a strong grasp of design aesthetic intent for product approval, alerting design to any discrepancies.
  • Maintain Production Libraries: Keep current production libraries of blanks, colors, and fabrications.
  • Ensure PLM Accuracy: Be accountable for the accuracy of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system at all times.
  • Create Design Roadmap: Utilize your design knowledge and experience for scalable artwork execution.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in apparel product design or development with a desire to contribute to the development and execution process.
  • A design background with meticulous attention to detail in product quality.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, showcasing technical capability and strong product knowledge.
  • A keen eye for Illustrator-based Tech Packs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience collaborating with teams both onsite and overseas.
  • A proactive attitude, demonstrating initiative in finding solutions and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in apparel product design, development, or production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese or Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge of apparel construction and production to confidently influence decisions (Garment construction, fabric construction, knowledge of embellishments).
  • Demonstrated excellent time-management and prioritization skills while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
