We are in search of a highly skilled individual with a comprehensive background in both public and private sector projects to excel in this pivotal role.
As a senior member of our client services division, you will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of various projects and tasks. Your responsibilities will include mentoring and guiding junior staff members, ensuring effective collaboration with clients and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
In this senior-level position, you will oversee the planning, direction, and management of a team of junior technical professionals. Together, you will be tasked with producing detailed construction plans that serve as vital resources for project development and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily engineering operations of assigned staff, ensuring the successful achievement of client project goals. Prioritize tasks effectively to align with client, team, and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader during initial client meetings for new project proposals and kickoffs, ensuring a thorough understanding of project details to aid in proposal development and task execution.
- Assist the Team Leader in crafting well-structured client proposals, including clear scopes of work, pricing, project timelines, and resource requirements.
- Assess and approve technical strategies for project tasks, along with intermediate and final deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, while upholding company quality assurance standards.
- Review necessary research and data critical for project design, including zoning regulations, updated design standards, existing utility information, environmental factors, topographical data, and more.
- Engage with relevant government agencies as required, participating in meetings to ensure project compliance with agency standards and to secure necessary approvals.
- Identify instances where client-requested work exceeds the original contract scope, facilitating the issuance and approval of change orders prior to undertaking additional tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering design related to land and site development.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Georgia.
- Proficiency in CAD software is essential.
