We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team at Contiem. As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality training solutions for our clients.
Job SummaryThe Instructional Designer will work closely with our project teams to understand client needs and develop training programs that meet their objectives. This is a contract role with the potential to become a permanent employee role.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop training programs for clients across various industries, including publishing, consumer products, healthcare, technology, and financial services.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop instructional content, including course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training programs are accurate and effective.
- Implement ID frameworks like the ADDIE process and execute ID pedagogy, ID principles, and ID tools.
- Design and develop instructor-led training (ILT), online training (WBT and VILT), blended training, or micro-learning as determined from the needs assessment and content analysis.
- Act as a key member of the team, along with Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and others in determining the needs of the course, the overall instructional flow of a program, and the appropriate method of delivery.
- Provide status reports and participate actively in client meetings.
- Achieve customer delight through experience, soft skills, and solution definition.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Instructional Design and Courseware Development projects.
- Experience with solutioning and creating instructional content, storyboards, and engaging training content.
- Proficiency in courseware development tools like Articulate Studio, Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Lectora.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency with Basic digital image editing.
- Experience working with global clients.
- Certification or degree in Instructional Systems Design, Education, Training/Curriculum Development, Technical Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Comprehension of increasingly complex products, processes, and projects.
- Flexibility to adapt to new ideas, changes, and feedback.
- Ability to conceptualize content visually by collaborating with graphic designers and technical team members.
- Exhibiting an exceptional eye for detail to create the final product within specified timelines.
- Demonstrated experience in committing to and meeting external customer expectations.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and as an individual contributor or specialist.
- Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts to conduct research and resolve issues.
