Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Service Associate to join our team at Whispering Willows of Mount Vernon LLC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Culinary Service in planning, directing, and controlling culinary operations.
  • Ensure resident satisfaction by responding to likes and dislikes, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Maintain accurate food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving.
  • Circulate in the dining room to gather resident feedback and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining area.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration with colleagues, and demonstrate initiative in overcoming obstacles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in food service preferred.
  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be 18 years or older, and meet all health requirements, including health screening and TB clearance.
  • Must pass a drug screen and state-required fingerprinting and criminal background process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in food service.
