We are seeking a qualified Childcare Staff Member to join our Youth Services team at the City of San Luis Obispo, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and supervision to children in grades TK - 6th, leading activities, building relationships, and making memories.
Key Responsibilities- Lead planned activities for groups of school-age children, including art, games, science, cooking, and more.
- Work with a team to ensure all children are accounted for and safe at all times.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, kids, and families in a positive and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- 6 units of Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Recreation, Psychology, Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
- At least six months of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
This is a temporary position with no benefits. The successful candidate will be required to pass a physical examination, submit proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal right to remain and work in the U.S., and be fingerprinted as part of a background investigation.
