We are seeking an experienced Process Control Systems Engineer to join our Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in industrial automation.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering solutions to improve process reliability, product quality, and plant-wide performance;
- Consulting technical documentation such as schematics, manuals, standards, and codes;
- Maintaining backup and revision documentation for control systems and instrumentation;
- Managing SCADA-type devices in an industrial-based environment;
- Installing, configuring, calibrating, and maintaining control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation;
- Configuring and programming Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC);
- Organizing and ordering PLC control components;
- Preparing technical reports for documenting issues/changes to equipment;
- Managing projects for implementing changes and improvements;
- Supporting production needs as required.
The role involves working with various instruments including transmitters, analyzers, sensors, detectors, signal conditioners, recorders, controllers, and final control elements. These instruments are used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition.
