Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Technician Leader will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of our manufacturing control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, and maintain PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other control systems used in tire manufacturing.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for control systems to prevent unexpected failures and ensure consistent functionality.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment, control systems, and automation technologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in control systems, automation technologies, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing control system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Manage SCADA type devices in an industrial based environment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance programs.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Controls Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Allen Bradley PLCs and other types of controllers).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A_detail-oriented mindset and the ability to document processes and procedures accurately.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to off-hours emergencies.
