The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) role is a critical step in our leadership development pipeline, designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position.
This 16-week program is tailored to enhance your career as a future store leader, with a focus on developing your skills in customer care, merchandising, and inventory management.
You'll work closely with a team of experienced leaders, including your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.
Key skills for this role include:
- Effective communication and leadership
- Providing exceptional customer experiences
- Executing merchandising strategies to drive sales growth
- Managing store inventory and assets to optimize profitability

Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position, but it's a critical step in our leadership development pipeline.
