Job Summary

At Syntec Optics, we are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing precision and intricate hand and machine assembly of finished products using equipment and methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble complex components and inspect connections for correct tolerance and fit.
  • Fasten parts and subassemblies per specifications provided by customers.
  • Operate various assembly and packaging equipment, including lathes, mills, sonic welders, hot stamper, heat stakers, and auto baggers.
  • Read and interpret customer prints and specifications.
  • Perform various types of machine and manual assembly.
  • Identify and resolve assembly and packaging issues and notify the Floor Lead/Supervisor.
  • Inspect assembled parts for any imperfections as per customer specifications, which may include software testing.
  • Complete production reports daily to verify completed work and state the reasons for scrap and downtime.
Additional Responsibilities
  • When requested, may work on special projects and various related assignments.
  • May be required to compile various reports and data tracking.
  • May be required to work in various areas of operations when necessary.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in small parts assembly or equivalent job experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Familiarity with various trade tools
  • Attention to detail
  • Math skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations
