Job Description:

The Warehouse/Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role at Welding Works, responsible for the efficient management of our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Pick and package parts orders with precision, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
  • Packaging machines into crates requires attention to detail, following designed layouts and securing them properly. Carpentry experience is highly valued in this aspect.
  • Review pick lists and machine pull sheets to identify low stock levels, filling out reorder forms accordingly. This involves determining priority, vendor, reorder quantity, and other relevant information. Additionally, requisition boxes, wood, and hardware as needed.
  • Upon receiving goods, determine their next phase: stocking or preparing for additional work such as drilling, tapping, and painting. Provide updates to the Supervisor.
  • Create stock jobs for machinists and machine builders, compiling parts blueprints, process records, and assigning stock numbers.
  • Schedule glue pouring/pumping based on customer demand, transferring from 55-gallon drums to smaller containers, labeling, and stocking them.
  • Maintain the warehouse by reorganizing shelves, parts, daily cleaning, and general organization of stock shelves.
  • Familiarity with basic tools is essential, including reading tape measures and operating saws, hammers, etc.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling 1-40 lbs is common, with occasional use of a hand truck or forklift for heavier loads (41-100 lbs).
  • Repetitive hand and foot usage is required (both right & left).
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, and grasping are necessary.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, crawling, overhead lifting, ladder work, and keying may be required.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, and driving for 8 hours per day are expected.
  • Capability to operate power tools like saws and nail guns for crate building is essential.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
