We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in diagnosing disorders affecting circulation.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression as needed.
- Record and maintain test data, preparing preliminary interpretations of test results and other duties as assigned.
- May also perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures, depending on the hospital department.
- Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required.
- 1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT is required.
- BLS is required.
