Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Mass Care Manager to lead our disaster response efforts in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that essential disaster services are available and delivered in a seamless fashion.

In this role, you will work with volunteers to prepare communities for disasters, respond to emergencies, and provide support to those affected. You will also collaborate with internal partners to build relationships and coordinate disaster relief operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for implementing disaster cycle services programming throughout the assigned geographic area or functional activities within the region.
  • Implement either disaster cycle services activities within assigned geographic area or specific functional activities within the region.
  • Develop and support disaster volunteers who are the primary workforce, representing the communities they serve culturally and linguistically.
  • Cultivate and develop Disaster Leadership Volunteers to meet specific responsibilities as part of their work in disaster readiness, preparedness, response, and recovery.
  • Engage community leaders and organizations to prepare and mobilize communities for disasters and emergencies.
  • Manage relationships and collaborations in the matrix management environment with internal partners, including employees and volunteers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building, mobilizing, leading, and developing volunteer teams to execute social services programs or services.
  • Valid Driver's License.
