We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mammography Tech Navigator to join our team at Rush University Medical Center. As a key member of our Breast Imaging Technical department, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up care for patients with inconclusive or incomplete mammograms.
Key Responsibilities- Review patient records to identify individuals requiring follow-up mammograms and contact them to schedule appointments.
- Explain the importance of follow-up mammography and address any questions or concerns raised by patients.
- Schedule appointments with imaging centers or healthcare facilities to ensure convenient appointment times for patients.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and radiologists to obtain necessary information and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
- Document all communication and appointment scheduling activities accurately in patient records or electronic health systems.
- State licensure as a radiologic technologist.
- ARRT certification in Mammography from an approved mammography program.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mammography technologist.
- Previous scheduling experience in a healthcare role.
- Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval.
- Knowledge of breast anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
