DrWanted is currently seeking a skilled Advanced Practitioner to join their team at a site located in the Hudson Valley region of New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care as a Hospitalist Advanced Practitioner, performing evaluations and management services as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Complete admissions from the Emergency Department and perform dictation of H&P examinations.
- Cross-cover for the Hospitalist team and perform dictation of discharge summaries and procedure reports.
- See an average of 15-19 patients per day and write progress notes as necessary.
- Order routine and special laboratory studies, as well as write orders for inpatient and outpatient medicine.
- Work a 7a-7p schedule with a 1:5 rotation for admissions.
- May be asked to cover the rapid discharge unit.
- Perform other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within NP/PA scope of practice.
- The hospital features an open ICU with 22 beds and a total of 375 hospital beds, with an average census of 8-10 patients during the day and 10-12 patients at night.
- Codes are used, and the EMR system is McKesson.
