The Senior Systems Engineer at DCS Corp will deliver comprehensive hardware and software engineering support to the Ground Vehicle Division. The engineer will oversee significant projects related to the design, development, integration, testing, and enhancement of various prototype and legacy Army ground vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate within a team framework alongside Army customers and DCS engineers, contributing to a project team composed of government and contract personnel dispersed across multiple locations. Utilize Subject Matter Expertise in the ground vehicle sector to develop architecture, standards, and requirements, while also managing technology planning and strategy for diverse combat vehicle platforms and subsystems. Engage with CCDC Research & Technology Integration Groups, PEO, and external Army entities to advance architecture and technology, supporting both legacy and new vehicle programs.

Essential Qualifications:

Given the sensitive nature of the requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering is required, or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 12 years of experience.

Proven experience in large-scale software system development for ground combat systems is essential, along with a background in project management, execution, strategy formulation, risk management, and problem-solving.

Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and organizations to enhance architectural and technological solutions in Army ground and autonomous vehicle systems is highly valued.

Ability to critically assess systems architectures to guide their development across various ground vehicle domains is necessary. Familiarity with military C4ISR equipment integration for Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms is preferred.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in Systems Engineering and Integration for Ground Combat or Military Systems is advantageous. Proficiency with SysML and the ability to develop and review system models is a plus.

Support in the development of concept studies and trade-off analyses during the research and development phases related to C4ISR hardware and software systems, subsystems, and components is desired.

Experience in preparing and reviewing program milestone documentation is beneficial, as is the ability to coordinate with Army organizations to foster strategic relationships and support program objectives.

Participation in systems technical reviews and the review of technical documents generated by government and OEMs is expected. Additionally, support for developmental testing activities at Army proving grounds, including monitoring and witnessing testing activities, will be part of the role.
