Key Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:
- Oversee the financial performance of assigned properties, including tracking profits and losses.
- Manage cash flow for properties and project necessary funding.
- Supervise property escrow and reserve accounts to ensure compliance with financial agreements.
- Process payroll for company personnel.
- Compile monthly financial reports for properties and maintain electronic records.
- Develop and present monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports.
- Prepare year-end audit documentation and reconcile with previous year’s financial statements.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential. An associate degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience in real estate accounting is required.
- Familiarity with CAM reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Yardi software is preferred.
