Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care and treatment
- Prepare and maintain dental equipment and instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education and support
Requirements
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Experience working in a patient- or customer-centered environment
- Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required under the state dental practice act)
Preferred Qualifications
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
- Dental assisting school certification
