Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a Field Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to apply herbicides and pesticides to crops, while maintaining accurate records and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides to crops in accordance with company guidelines and regulations
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing repairs as needed
  • Keep accurate records of applications, including log books and spray records
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain pesticide applicator certification
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Class A or B CDL required
  • At least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle
  • Ability to work nights, overtime, and weekends during peak season
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred
  • Agricultural background and experience with crop protection products
  • Basic knowledge of ag pesticides and equipment operation
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers
Work Environment

As a Field Equipment Operator, you will work in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be required to work near moving equipment and mechanical parts, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, and electrical shock. You will also be required to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
