Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

As a CT Technologist at Texas Health Plano, you will be responsible for explaining procedures to patients and positioning them correctly for exams. You will also perform complex procedures, adjust technique parameters, and maintain attention to detail. Additionally, you will utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS/RIS, correctly send and transfer images, and print laser images from modality or PACS.

Patient Care

You will use multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions to assess and recognize patients' emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions. You will prepare rooms for examinations, check physician orders, and greet patients using two forms of ID. You will also handle patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes, or other devices, and monitor patients during imaging.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

You will adjust technical factors, operate, care for, and maintain equipment. You will apply knowledge of physics and accessories, troubleshoot and document equipment malfunctions, and maintain equipment and rooms to sanitary standards. You will also stock supplies daily and exchange and maintain film badges within designated time frames.

Professional Accountability and Partnership

You will maintain and enhance technical skills and technology advancement. You will attend departmental continuing education, meetings, and check email in a timely manner. You will identify, troubleshoot, and initiate quality improvement, manage time, and re-prioritize as necessary. You will also perform any assignment deemed necessary by your supervisor.
