Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at the New York Blood Center. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of blood and blood products.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for the set up and breakdown of mobile blood drives
  • Transport and deliver blood and blood products from blood drives
  • Assist and provide customer service to clients, donors, and coworkers
  • Perform other related tasks as needed
Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have a High School Diploma/GED, 2-3 years of truck or bus driving experience, and a valid/clean driver's license. You must also be able to meet Department of Transportation (DOH) regulations, have demonstrated experience driving a straight truck and cargo van, and be able to lift up to 50lbs. Excellent customer service, oral/written communication, and multitasking skills are essential.

Candidates must be able to provide all commercial driving positions held within the past ten years if any. All salaries are pursuant to Local 202 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Rate: $26.75 Per Hour
