Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. As a critical care nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a motivated and experienced ICU nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:- Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identifies needs for intervention.
- Demonstrate appropriate decision making, critical thinking and clinical judgment to make nursing decisions and identify health care needs.
- Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
- Assist in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
- Monitor basic EKG, recognize rhythms and have the ability to intervene as needed.
- Current Alaska nursing license in good standing
- Associate's Degree in nursing required, Bachelor's preferred
- One-year critical care experience required; Two years preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS)
