Job Title: Branch Retail Sales

Job Summary:

The Branch Retail Sales & Accounting Clerk will play a key role in identifying client needs, presenting and answering questions about our products and services, and recommending solutions. This role will also provide accounts receivable support to the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct customers to ensure a positive experience.
  • Provide accurate information to customers with attention to detail and after-sales follow-through.
  • Cross-sell products to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage customer, vendor, and employee contacts through phone, email, mail, and in-person interactions.
  • Fulfill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse.
  • Notate back orders or discrepancies and perform cycle counts as required.
  • Participate in weekend inventory events as scheduled.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Daily reconciliation and bank deposit.
  • Code and post payment to customer accounts and general ledger.
  • Maintain customer accounts and process credit card payments.
  • Prepare bank deposits and electronically scan and file documents.
  • Verify and research discrepancies to resolve customer billing issues.

Showroom Administration:

  • Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material.
  • Maintain clear aisles and walkways and ensure material is properly organized.
  • Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years in a sales or office administration position is preferred.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Ability to work in a high volume fast-paced environment and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Understanding of the retail sales process and familiarity with consumer behavior principles.
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures and accounting fundamentals.
  • Beginning to intermediate computer skills and ability to utilize all business systems with proficiency.

Work Environment:

Generally indoor work environment with variable conditions; retail showroom, warehouse, and office.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stand, stoop, bend, and kneel. Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting customer needs. Occasionally lift 20 pounds unassisted.
